Vela y Verso began in the space between motion and stillness. Between the mountains and the coast of Puerto Rico, between English and Spanish, between what I was taught to want and what I actually needed.

I'm Juno. I grew up moving around the island, never quite settling, always observing. Home isn't a place, I learned. It's a practice. Writing became mine.

I started this brand because I believe our interior lives deserve to be taken seriously. The thoughts we have at 2am. The patterns we notice. The way memory reshapes itself when we let it breathe on the page. I wanted to create objects that honor that. Journals that feel like they were waiting for you, like you manifested them into being.

Every piece of leather comes from Italy. Full-grain, vegetable-tanned, chosen for how it ages. Every edge is hand-burnished. Every stitch is intentional. I don't outsource any part of the process because the details matter. The weight of the leather in your hands. The way it darkens where you hold it,記recording your ritual. The quiet luxury of something made with care, not speed.
